Two Backlogs, One Goal: Delivering Value

In Scrum, the Product Backlog and the Sprint Backlog are two essential artifacts that can sometimes be confused.

Product Backlog:

- What it is: An ordered list of everything that is known to be needed in the product. It is the single source of requirements for any changes to be made to the product.

- Who owns it: The Product Owner is responsible for the Product Backlog, including its content, availability, and ordering.

- Lifespan: It exists and evolves as long as the product exists.

Sprint Backlog:

- What it is: The set of Product Backlog items selected for the Sprint, plus a plan for delivering the product Increment and realizing the Sprint Goal.

- Who owns it: The entire Development Team owns the Sprint Backlog.

- Lifespan: It is created during Sprint Planning and is highly visible until the end of the Sprint.

Our Task Tracker can be used as a visual representation of the Sprint Backlog, showing tasks as they move from 'To Do' to 'Done'.
